Outreach with Belong
Reaching the lost & discipling new believers

Every Wednesday Evening at Mercy Culture Church
Prayer & Equipping 6:30-7PM
We pray to move from our strength into God's strength. It's so important to understand that we are not called to do the work of making disciples on our own and in our own strength. We are called to do the work in His strength and that happens during powerful prayer times. Prayer is the engine to evangelism and we equip with the gospel guide. Gospel guide can be found in resources.
Outreach 7-8PM
We believe that the original call never changed. Jesus said "I will make you fishers of men" so we live our lives as full-time christians to fulfill His call. The goal is not only outreach, but also making disciples. Important note: you go on outreach each week until you make a disciple. We go out two by two to grocery stores, gas stations, door to door, shopping centers and wherever the Holy Spirit leads.
Discipleship 7-8:30PM
AKA: Belong Gathering
Belong Gathering is a twelve week discipleship cycle that an individual can start at any time. We weekly go though the purple book and teach from one of its chapters. Once the new believer does all twelve weeks we encourage them to join prayer and outreach the next week to go and make disciples. We believe disciples should make disciples.
Discipleship is the heart of Belong!
Evangelism and discipleship were never meant to be separated.
After someone is led to Jesus they are invited to Belong Discipleship night. This is where they can come to a small informal gathering at the church to learn more about Jesus. This discipleship time allows the church to actively come alongside the new believer on their journey and it includes worship, testimony. Teaching and small groups for questions and personal connection. Baptisms are often done this night as well. This is where we take people from the alter to Belong and outreach/street to Belong. Discipleship is the heart of Belong!
Belong gathering
We have a new testament conviction, founded in the book of acts, that when people are saved, they should receive all that God has for them that day. Or at least. That week: salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, water baptism, deliverance, and real discipleship. So often people get saved and months later they get water baptized, years later they receive the Holy Spirit (if ever). And when they die they are delivered. Jesus paid for more than this. At belong, we have created a space to truly equip new believers with all that God wants to give them.
Important note: the goal is to walk with your disciple for twelve weeks to help them grow as a Christian and get plugged into your local church, they then can go on outreach and make disciples.
